the Stories of Women, 12/04/10 Lake Villa feature

    In show #2 from Janet Kuypers in the “Visual Nonsense” (for additional info on Visual Nonsense, visit their tumblr page) series of video evenings at Swing State (19041 W. Grand Ave, Lake Villa, IL - find directions and a map on line at madtownlounge), Kuypers (upon request) expanded on her original sexism theme (from her first show, “sexism and other stories”) with (the stories of women) — which includes many aspects of being female in this society, from dealing with relationships between the sexes and marriage, to family situations, from rape to stalking, to even worrying about looking good to attract people.

    Janet Kuypers was thrilled to be asked to perform again by Moira Phippen (the “Visual Nonsense” (for additional info on Visual Nonsense, visit their tumblr page) Co-ordinator) to create a show performance for this Swing State event.

    Like other Visual Nonsense shows, this perofrmance had videos for every reading, original Janet Kuypers background mood music playing throughout her show, and also recorded vocals from Monica F. as wel as live readings from John Y. in assorted pieces throughout her show.
