Janet Kuypers’ 2022 poetry for “Animal Tales”     Janet Kuypers wrote an animal-themed poem that was accepted for the 2022 book and contest for “Animal Tales”. Because open mic readings have been on hiatus for years due to the coronavirus pandemic, Janet Kuypers was grateful to read her poetry during the Tablerock Poetry Festival in 2022 at Tablerock of Salado in Texas 5/7/22 — on her 22-year wedding anniversary.     Because of this unique opportunity to have her poem appear in the “2022 Animal Tales” book and for her to perform her poetry read for the Tablerock Poetry Festival in 2022 at Tablerock of Salado, Janet Kuypers even designed a chapbook (not for mass print distribution but as a thank you and gift to event sponsor Thom and book printer Phillip) containing not only her poem in the book (the first poem she read), but also three additional poems she performed to highlight her writing: one being a Twitter-length Periodic Table poem about the poem in the 2022 Animal Tales book, one being a more political and emotionally-charge poem about the rights of animals, and one light-hearted rhyming poem, that was recently designed into two coloring books and a picture book about the poem.     Below are video links to the Janet Kuypers’ performance for the “2022 Animal Tales” book during the Tablerock Poetry Festival in 2022 at Tablerock of Salado in Texas 5/7.
