House Boosts Military Spending

The House authorized $267 billion for military spending -- $9.7 billion more than the Administration request -- reversing a decade-long trend of gradual decreases in military funding, and breathing new life into Cold War weapons systems. The Senate will take up its version in July. Contact your Senators and let them know that you oppose higher military spending. Specifically urge them to cut funding for Star Wars, the B-2 bomber, and the Seawolf submarine.
