And I guess this is the season
where we usher harmony
from shattered instruments
urging the burning strings
towards the X-cross of chromaticism
summoning their dialect of glitter
from the weird world of aquatic theater


And I suppose there is a message
in these riddling mazy notes,
stabbed out like eyes of vicious pianos


Staves of hammered glass
clutching the song like hysteria—
plangent echo of hurricane
in the guts of atomic guitar
