Mind is the candy they
Stole with all our medicine
Bags, hung on trees like the
Sweet necks of witches.

Our shrunken ships clot
Their seas, released like
Snapshots of their mouths
Sealed by black gloves of storm.

Conscience is a sad
Accountant in this day and age.
