Uh-oh.
I saw it again—
that look.
That paddles to the camera
makes a face and
pisses on the lens look.
That artifice of happiness that’s
ripped up inside dance
all the kids are doing.

And the stare that precedes
its slick disco moves,
heavy with the slam of bats.

Black things inhabit her,
the angry girl:
bride of Mercury
heavy with pollution
the one with chaos eyes.
