And Delaware lost its wife and its kids

Telling truths, expounding thoughts

And it cried,

And it cried on Jay Leno
And it cried on Letterman
And Conan
And Good Morning, Dubuque, and
Delaware’s wife and kids kept dying and dying
And Delaware cried and cried
...and, if anyone called “bullshit” on Delaware,
Der BabyPoopses, catcalled,
Raising 1968 Olympiad fists, saying,
“How hurtful, you Hater! Delaware isn’t faking!”
And this, say I, is Pure Truth before God
Delaware is right and righteous, proper and good
