I had this idea for a story
It’s too “daddy wants revenge”
It rests on The State over-filing,
A man has stalked
A troubled young woman
Until she tells him to just kill her
It involves handcuffs, kneeling
Bathroombased drowning
An execution, but
She demanded it (Goth)
And for some reason, they buy that
But file murder in the first, anyway
And it’s thrown out, as the judge says
It’s only what Kevorkian did,
The killer pays a BIG fine
Community service, short house arrest
But then, it devolves to
daddy-gonna-get-him
“oh, the pain, oh, the horror”
You know,
Not certain I’ll write that story
I dreamed it up as daydream
It became a story because of its other flaw,
Legal beagles aren’t gonna buy me saying,
“She told me to”
