Anemic

Chris Butler

I won’t get out of bed today.
Motivation has run astray,
my mind, body and soul in decay,
hemoglobin in disarray,
all potential wasted away,
but one dumb question, if I may,
just please don’t take it the wrong way...
...it doesn’t matter anyway.
I have nothing profound to say,
so I will remain where I lay.
