Horizons
Eric Bonholtzer
We can’t see it over the horizon
The white warmth, echoing, calling
For the celebrated return,
Friendly faces smiling signs of welcoming
The purity of innocence regained
With the soles we have trod, over the hills
A haven and valley of solace
Always waiting as we make our way, our journey
That will someday come and we will be home.
