Internal Explosion

I dread going back there,
I know it’s not safe.
The concerns are rewinding in my mind,
I can’t hit pause.

I long to ignore my thoughts that strangle my soul,
boiling nerves are unbearable.
I can predict every negative word that comes out of their filthy mouths.
Negativity spews of out their bodies.

I’m already disgusted, but not in a state of shock,
I hold it all inside.
I fight to bite my tongue,
I know if I fail to do so, it will not end well.

I hope I can be strong,
I hope my boiling point dies down,
I’d rather be ice cold,
then, my mind would numb into calmness.
