a new theory about living
unlocking new optimism
unpacking yesterday.

It’s an imposed functional vision
an effigy in glass
their gigantic headstones
are a monument to notoriety.

They are an unbuilt personality
a mass silhouette
wrapped in concrete
of identical doorsteps.

They are out of harmony
a stunted imagination
spiritually deadbeat
a refuge from creativity

Behind their closed doors
is a key to memories
opened by a thought
of times past.

On the hall mat
lies unsigned rent books
a formless identity
for cut-out people.

They are locked and barred
in a class barrier
an outworn community
exiled in disconnect.
