whys hows of
such repetition

fathom the things they
can’t won’t say

the acts they
pull push

towards away

the decades wasted in
embracing repulsing

all the
love loathing the

desire disgust

an endless nowhere dance

step forward now
step back

and back and back
still more

until he’s the tiniest
blur in hindsight

with paltry impact on
growing moving forward
to the equilibrium floor
where the tango
does take two
