The peaceful accord of all religions
is due to agreement on basic principles:

Don’t murder.
Don’t steal.
Don’t covet.
Don’t lie.
Don’t disrupt marital relations.
Believe in these rules, for I am the one and only —
Follow no other leader.

Curious the various gods should all
arrive at the same conclusions,

unless there is but one god
appearing in multiple manifestations,

a powerful god with dominion
over the earth and all its creatures,

so the rules religions prescribe
for humans are the same as those

that govern behavior in
every gregarious species,

enforced by a dominant male
and followed by herd mentality.
