Give me a line
to say,
I’ll act out
my rage
for the paying audience.
Stage left or stage right,
give me a direction
and I’ll huff and puff
like a bull,
trampling your ideas
that aren’t as good as mine.
Put my name
at the top of the marquee,
big letters,
bold and in red,
so it bellows
me
and only me.
Rent me a billboard
so I tower over everyone
like an alabaster god.
I am the disenfranchised
white male,
hear me bloviate,
make me a sandwich
and elect me to
a government office.
