safe?

wrong.

one day you will see
arrows flailing all around you,
it will be my only warning;

as you trip and stumble
in the thick and dense darkness
of my forest kingdom i will
follow the sound of your beating heart

& when you look around and see
nothing i will let you get a false sense of
security—

it will be a game,
this time you lose;

you’ll find these fangs have no mercy
and your blood has a limit and i will wait
until every last ruby dances against
my tongue because i cannot let dead monsters
rise.
