i try to wrap
my mind
around it all,
but it seems pretty
unfathomable;

don’t understand how
anyone can tell a woman
she has to carry a child
to term regardless
of the circumstances—

all these people saying
that the babies will be
saved and praising these
decisions,

are you going to take in
the children that aren’t wanted?

how are you going to be able
to wash the blood off your hands
off the women that will be lost
in desperate situations?
how will you be able to live with
yourselves knowing all this could’ve
been prevented if you didn’t try to
use your religion to oppress others?

damn your soul to the same hell
you give to others.
