In order to go on living one must try to escape the death
involved in perfectionism.

We will not tell you anything
that the psychoanalyst wouldn’t tell you
Though her analysis is fraught with misconstruction’s
Buzzwords like ‘oppositional,’ ‘co-morbidity’

and ‘Socianism’ typify her articles of faith
She too claims we are all victims
of our Weltanschauung
Our own obstinate emoting
Our mechanical carping, the apple of all our discord
Oh we know, the bone of contention
is parental affection
but the conflict is only part of it

Whatever was done to the tree-line
we cannot change the past
We are the ones who live between past and future
We are the ones who dream the dead alive
