pieces of meat,
cakes,
or anything else
you can consume;

we are people
of flesh,
blood, and bone;

our dreams and our ambitions
matter,
our voices matter—

we have power,
magic,
and worth all our own;

you don’t get to decide
what our lives are—

stop being creeps,
and stop thinking you are
entitled to our time or our bodies
because you’re not;

we deserve a world in which we
can feel, be, and stay safe.
