Monet Cathedral

Xanadu (Ofbaudelairefame)

Reminding sfumato of gray
going up to black
one more myopian view
of utopia of cathedral
too close too far there’s
a problem with zooming
out and in

Caught by mist and fog
deeply in love with gray
so much that even sky’s
clouds are here and there
touched by a swarm of raven

But not enough to drop back
into melancholy of suspense
and painting remains
silence without storm

Paint mattering conscious
texture of stone it portrays
man mirroring loss of awareness
of its shrine it lives
in and out

Meticulously preventing
white from looking pale
unfinished hesitating
finitude of paint and matter
where vagueness smells of spirit
        softness reveals wind
and clarity is on holiday
like a mother from her children
leaving mystery at home
where it belongs to be betrayed
        in between natural and supernatural
                  finished and unfinished

Brown and red touch twice
once on first floor of next house
twice as wooden door of cathedral
in between yellow and red
it awaits our assessment
of this painterly balancing art
on the high wire

Blue remains spectral
on windows of neigh-
boring sand house

Temps gris could be morning haze
although it rather looks like eve
in between early and too late
mirroring itself like its structure
it gains some view of unknown eternity
2 humane 2 beat perfect
2 consistent 2 have flaws
2 common 2 be ordinary
2 dry 2 be wet
2 deep 2 be surface
2 superficial 2 be just real.
