“it’s called Heterochromia,” said my sister,
pointing at her blue and green eyes.
my nose crinkled.
horror seeped through my veins,
and realisation sank heavy in my chest
as I saw the bloody orbs
rolling in her red-stained hands.
I pushed her aside
and frantically ran to the playroom,
looking for my little brothers.
I crumpled to the floor,
my head swirling in horror.
“what’s wrong?” my sister asked,
her brown eyes glinting
under the sunrays.
