Never heard if the twenty
was really a fake.
Did see footage
of a young man in court
before he turned his life around,
but not his adult life.
Did see what folks videoed.
Did hear audio pleas
to listen to his cries for air,
for his mother.
Did hear offers from a medical
professional to check his pulse.
Did see three officers
sworn to protect
obstruct a dying mans ribcage—
could only expel air—
and neck and throat—
could not inhale air.
Did see a man die.
