lose who you are,
simply listen to us then we’ll love you;

i dance to the beat of a different drummer
than the world—

i’ve never fit in,
and i have always broke the mold
whenever i have seen fit;

they’ve always tried to tell me who or what
a woman should be but only i know what it is
to be and a woman can and should be
anyone and anything they want—

i am feminine not fragile,
not afraid to break your ego or your
glass ceilings;

i wasn’t born to be part of the status quo
was born to change it

because i am a legend not a lady.
