and the news spins its horror
porn
the masses feed on
fear

A preacher tells his flock
that covid is just another
mind game
and he dies from it

an athlete lies about getting
vaccinated, to soothe the
woke police
and he gets sick, too

i’m ready for the booster shot
if need be
i’ve been through too much
to be scared

snow salt covers the
sidewalk
like connect the dots
and cold comes out like
smoke
as i breathe

i have given up
trying to find out
what is
        normal...
