Antipathy, hostility, abhorrence
Murdering our hope
Succumbing our passionate souls
The once fervid talks crescendoed to yells and cries
Tearing each other apart
Ripping off our hearts
Not that we don’t love, but we do certainly loathe
There’s no start near the finish line

Still I catch myself dreaming
I want it all again
All again
Not with an ending but a start
Just,
A last night that will be the first
A forward step that will be backwards
Lose you like hope and then bump into you
I want to live our story again
Turning the pages of our book backwards

Beginning with an insult melting into adulation
Entangled strangling bodies untwining into light caresses
Hard, energy-draining kisses turning into a rejuvenating forehead kiss
Encumbrance fading into freedom
I want to live our story again
Turning the pages of our book backwards

Ripping off our skins before feeling that first gentle touch
Demolishing the pillar of togetherness prior to strengthening the foundation
Staining the glass before wiping it clean
Drowning in the sea of our love before resurfacing
I want to live our story again
Turning the pages of our book backwards

Creating a void before filling it
That’s what I want
I desire your heart beating in my chest
And my wings flying to your soul
I want to die before living
Just,
An ending with a beginning
