Into the Surf

Fabrice Poussin

Gaze transfixed upon the surf
blinded by a flow of explosions his thoughts
are transported to far away horizons.

Rolling gently to the sandy coast they remind him
of landscapes where he used to vanish
like a dream joyfully lost within the waves.


Tunnels slowly materialize on the surface
to crash with a thunderous groan
followed by another curve of clear skies.


He recalls reaching for the warm surface
in hopes of capturing the elusive flash
to preserve it into a statuesque muse.


Eyes shut he is free to sleep
soul reclined upon an imaginary one
harmless ocean of voluptuousness.
