The End of Racism

I.B. Rad

Once we thought
that in some distant inevitable,
we’d all join hands
and through universal love
racism would disappear.
But who’d have believed
that weaponizing language
by indiscriminately alleging “racism”
to unnerve and discredit opponents
would start to diminish it’s impact;
then, without any change of heart,
this worn-out censure
would become devoid of meaning,
drop out of general use,
and voilà,
“racism” would be no more.
