hurled
in hot unfelt

wind,

deep in breaths

even as they wither
cellular foliage;
as they minimize
the doubletalk
of loch ness’s secrecy
(if you ever cared about
harmless monsters).

or if you fear
the turn
of physics
into weapon,

the doubletalk

of sirens,

the smile and
frozen
upstretched arms
of the fallen doll;
the drill
of little girls
rushing to draw
foolish
shades.

then you have seen
little stars
shaking their heads
up there.

they have
seen it all
in their own
beautiful light,

the cannibalizing
cauldron arms,

the unprotectable
thud of hydrogen

the elemental.
