The sun’s rays reflect off your
Fair skin and we set down a blanket
With all the fixings for a peaceful time
Little League has commenced on the diamond
The clattering of a bat against the pinstripes
Echoes in the background
The wind settles down
You push some of my hair back
And I revel in your scent
The days should always
Feel like this
Cradled in your warmth
Peanut butter and jelly on wheat
Summer has filled the air
And romance has only begun
To blossom
