One day I’ll die and my soul go Heaven

-ward while my body rots away, my soul
will go get its judgement and if it fails
to meet God’s standards then it goes to Hell
which is deeper even than my body
will be, dead and buried that is, such is
religion
and I’m ten years old but I
guess I’m a believer, every Sunday
I drop some change into the collection
plate and watch it float beyond me,
treasure
in Heaven of some sort

my Sunday School
teacher tells me and last year it fetched us
a new parking lot with white and yellow
stripes but no red like on Jesus’s back,
which would’ve matched but they cost a lot more.
