it’s twenty twenty two,
why are we still
fighting this?

getting rid of roe v. wade won’t
stop abortions just safe ones,

and how many people
have to suffer and die before
enough is enough?

my friend shared her story,
of how she would’ve been fourteen
and dead if one of her friends and the
friend’s mother hadn’t stepped in,
taking her to planned parenthood to help her;
and she was able to have an abortion after
being assaulted not by merely one but two different people—

if you truly cared about babies then you would
make healthcare more affordable, wouldn’t charge
people to give birth, you wouldn’t allow a
child to suffer in any way;

but it’s not about children—it’s never been,
it’s about control;

my body is my own and you have no right to tell me
when and whether or not i should have a baby,
that’s my choice not yours.
