There he sat
Haunted by the pictures in his mind
Alone
In a dark house
All windows opened
Down the long hallway
Thunder and lightning
Blinding, shaking
Gusts of wind tearing through
Twisted
Back and forth in his seat
Signs of the torrential downpour coming through
Stormy conditions mirroring the past
Advance
The dark figure of a woman
Startled, frightened
Beckoning him to come forward
Refusal refrains him from moving ahead
And the storm rages on
