Bio
Alexandra Geiger Morgan grew up in California and earned a BFA in ceramics and writing from UC Santa Barbara before moving to Manhattan to make art and complete her Masters in Social Work. She developed her practice as a psychotherapist integrating the expressive arts into her treatment approach. Themes of the wounding and transformation of the human heart, healing in the beauty of the natural world, pleasures and struggles of daily life, food, and sexuality infuse her writing with an organic, quirky rhythm and spirit. Alexandra has been the featured poet at Omega Institute, Beacon’s Howland Center, The Colony in Woodstock, and the Shahinian Gallery. She has found her home in sunny St. Petersburg, Florida.
