be like this I’;d have
asked never to be born

Since when has anyone
ever asked
someone like you

Okay I’;ll just rise but
not shine (and I’;m still
smart enough to know
I’;m like a lab specimen
dissolving in a jar of
formaldehyde inside
of my practical gray
sedan)

Living just slightly above
a comfortable paycheck
but sill needing prescribed
medication because like
you with your arsenal
of handguns & rifles
neither do I know about
tomorrow

And is there a stronger
prescription or somebody
to prescribe one
so that
I can get through today?
