this world has always been dangerous
for women and those perceived as women,
and i am so tired so very tired of fighting;
yet i know that i cannot stop nor be complacent
because that is what they want—

i refuse to be quiet and keep quiet about
all the things that will hurt people,

i don’t understand the people who think that is
okay to control others;
no matter what your religion is it is your path
you have no right to force it upon others—

it isn’t a morality issue,
a person should always get to choose what
is right for their lives;
whether or not they have a baby is up to them
not to you or anyone else—

they’re stealing futures because that person
who died from having an abortion in a back alley?
they could’ve been the one that could cure cancer
or could’ve come up with a way to save the earth
from further global warming or they could’ve been
the person who discovered a new plan or figured out
about a new species of animal or discovered how
to stop epilepsy from making people have seizures;
but now none of us will know and it’s entirely your fault—

the blood is on your hands now and forever.
