    So I paint my nails the shade of blue I imagine your childhood bedroom walls to be. I give you a little bell to ring whenever you need water, hear it even when you're fast asleep. When I was eighteen I spent every night and morning cleaning the small area beneath my sink that would leak forever. Now I take the piles of trash from your room to the dump behind the garden. Scrub my hands until they bleed afterward. I never have anything to complain about anymore.
