Love has Spoken

“I love the closeness, the sweetness
I feel when we’re together,” Caitlin
murmured, wrapping her arms round
the neck of her lover.

Chris bent and kissed her softly, slowly,
allowing the touching to linger. “I know
that people—even our friends—think
that our love won’t last, that it’s somehow
wrong,” said Caitlin in a quiet voice.

“Do you ever have doubts of your own,
Chris?” she asked staring, into that noble
face. Chris took a moment to consider the
question, then answered:. “No,” she
replied, “Never.”
