Beer

All afternoon
Into the evening
Meat and alcohol

Occasionally
I would join them
Sharing
Meaningful conversation
Elaborate plans
Plans that escalated
As the beer cooler emptied

Come with us to the Tiki bar
It’s a short train ride down the shore
A three (beer) can trip
We’ll bring a cooler full and
Get waffled

We’re gonna decorate the flag pole out front
With Christmas lights
Have the best display on the block

Let’s build a roller coaster
In the yard here
Three stories tall
I know where we can get one
Cheap

Tooch once told me
Johnny got his name because
He’s smarter
Than ANY
Two rocks
Consume enough alcohol
The truth
Comes out
