and my students are too busy
texting to notice

Now if only Tornado Alley could
make a perfect convergence
with the Bible Belt

Instead of knocking out
wooden ducks it would be
like knocking out churches
at the carnival shooting

bear I didn’t win anything

From the way I started teaching
my classes with texts like Thus
Spake Zarathustra and Das Kapital
I am not even playing

My students are too busy
texting to notice and when they
should be more than ever
with a tornado approaching
