Both drug dealers
and cops would love
to aim their Glocks
up but right now it
is easier and for one
of them even legal
to aim their guns
at each other

Go back to your farms
your forests your dark
predatory wilderness

we’re just a small
city where street corners
prey on the uninitiated
and innocent and the
police prey on everybody

Like a work of art whose
creation happens through
acts of destruction

Hartford creates
another masterpiece
