Desire breaks through the veil of life’s womb where it’s kicked out by obstetricians, ending up stranded on earth. We pick into its entrails like wolves on a carcass leaving only our former selves behind. The world’s a storied department store that we ransack for godsends. Its bric-a-brac affords valuable mementoes of its pilferage. We gather what we can thinking to make a fast getaway. Alas! At every step of the journey there are checkpoints, economic constraints, genetic baggage, old age and finally death arresting ambitions till we’re locked up in the grave cell of desire’s renewal. Could we learn the key to the lock on our freedom we’d use savvier craft to rescue ourselves from this cell block row’s undertow.
