part 4 of the story
Yahweh vs Zeus

James Correnti

“Does Zeus know about this invasion?”
“Yes, it is a very long story. We must find Gaia and tell her. Much has happened and war will come soon. Yahweh will free all enemies of Zeus. Gaia has been waiting for this moment to rescue her children. She will guide us through this calamity. Nothing can hurt her. Where is she?”
    Hera reveals,
Poseidon, during the peace between the two wars, Gaia gave parts of herself to three of your sisters. I acquired the goddess trust of marriage, women, and childbirth. Gaia christened Demeter, as mother of this earth and goddess of fertility, agriculture, and havest. She purified Hestia as virgin of the hearth and home. Gaia trusted her goddesses with secrets that male gods do not need to know. Secrets I will tell you now. Her Earth is greater than the earth in which our mortals reside. She is all places all times. You and our brothers think you rule the heavens, the sea, and the underworld. No, you rule the mortals that lives there. You do not rule what she is. Those domains and more are Gaia. They are all part of she, who is the beginning and shall be forever until the end of time. For that is where and what she is.

“Why are you telling me this now!”
    Hera continued,
Because I know where she waits. You must listen. Before our gods existed, the only planet to circle the sun was earth. There was eternal dark twilight hovering over the mortals at that time. They and their simple gods were fulfilled in that primitive world. Then the shapeless mass, called Chaos, appeared and forced those childlike gods from their homes amongst the rocks, trees, and clouds of earth. No light could distinguish this mass from the dark. Chaos spawned Nyx, daughter and wife. Together they created light and darkness, and day and night. They created seven more planets with only five seen from earth. They called it Earth. All planets were intended to contain mortal souls but even gods leave some work unfinished. At the center of this spontaneous solar system, light and darkness created the womb for Gaia to mother all gods and rule all planets. She was Earth and those on earth were her sustanance. Those planets and their moons were pledged to some gods but are worthless without mortal souls. Gaia now takes refuge at the outer edge of the eight planets called Earth. We will leave this earth and go where no other god goes.

“We must go now!” Poseidon insisted.

I
Prelude to War

Yahweh prepared for war. He alerted Michael and Camael to muster their troops. A strategy was planned for the crusade with Cassiel and Metatron. Vretil and Pistis Sophia were on standby to offer their infinite wisdom if needed. Gabriel was sent to the other six heavens to warn them of the imminent war and possible counter attack. Those heavens were engaged mostly with the business of mortal life, where every rank of angel appropriated, distributed, and consumed the souls of the dead mortals.
Yahweh announced the final plan of attack on all the domains of the gods. The Seven Trumpets will lead Michael and the Celestial Army in a frontal attack on the Gates of Olympus. Meanwhile, Camael’s Angels of Destruction will broach the less guarded underworld, thereby creating two fronts. Yahweh had decided to attack through the wormhole and blackhole.
Vretil was quicker in wisdom and patience than all in heaven. Not knowing why, he interrupted in his calm voice, “I think the longer route to war is the correct route.”
“THAT WOULD TAKE TOO LONG. MANY OF OUR MORTAL SOULS ARE SUFFERING. THE DEATH OF ITNERROC IS NEAR.
Yahweh continued with his plan. He decided that during the confusion of the battle, Gaia, Ares, and Poseidon would descend from the sea and free the Titan prisoners from Tartarus, and Prometheus and Atlas from their tortures. The leaders and angels of the Seven Heavens had instructions to cleanse their new heavens of evil and reestablish their own hierachy there. Lastly, Poseidon must surrender the sea to Ararial and the Pillard Angel will continue his heavenly duties on earth. Zeus and allies, defeated and wounded, would be abandoned in the darkness.
On his descent to the six lower Heavens, Gabriel first went to alert Zachiel, ruler of the Sixth Heaven. This was the second highest Heaven where the elite of the hierarchy of angels resided. Gadreel, one of Lucifer’s five lesser Satans, ruled the Fifth Heaven, however he and the twenty Watchers were gone, as were the other four lesser Satans. When they had learned about the seduction of mortals, they stealthily fled to earth. Uriel, one of the seven archangels who stood before god and detested the idea of fornication with mortals, was put in charge of the fifth heaven as guard and defender. After fortifying the next three Heavens, Gabriel took command of his own lowest First Heaven that bordered Itnerroc.

Poseidon and Hera waited for a ray of the solar winds for a clear trajectory to a Neptune’s largest moon. They wanted to avoid the delay caused by the outer planets bending their flight. This moon, now called Triton, was created during Chaos and Nyx’s reign. Upon arriving, Poseidon found himself stationed on the coldest object in the solar system.
“Why did Gaia come to this icy rock?” Poseidon mused.
Hera smiled and pointed to some active geysers, “I think you’ll be pleased with her obscure home.”
Poseidon followed her deep into a crevice in the diverse terrain. After a long journey, the frozen landscape melted into warm pools. An underground sea emerged surrounded with earthlike features. They traversed the water to an island mountain. Nereids poked their young lovely heads through the calm surface and welcomed their gods of the past with warm smiles and melodious voices. Poseidon missed these angels of the sea, and for the first time since the Gigantomachy, he felt a sense of belonging. Satyrs and Nymphs and mortals inhabited the surrounding woodland, pastures, and meadows completing a fulfillment lost on earth.
    “She is here Poseidon.”
The two Olympians surprised Gaia. She approached Hera from her temple. Two beautiful virgin nymphs attended her.
“Why are you here? I told you my secrets and granted fertile affirmations to you and your sisters. You deceived me and, along with the brother you bring here, slaughtered my Gigantes.”
“We had no choice. Those sons you bore of Uranus’ blood were earth-born and mortal. They were slain and exist no more. They had no chance to overcome the Gods of Olympus who can not hurt nor threaten you. My brother and I would be in Tartarus with your sons had we not chosen Zeus’ side.”
    “Why are you here?”
Hera continued, “We bring good news to you. Your wait is almost over. A supreme being from far has promised to free your sons and compel the Olympians to languish in the dark cosmos. We are gathering several sympathic gods to help our cause. We will speak to Ares and others. Will you join us?”
“You will live under the rule of this supreme being? How is that better than what you have now?”
Poseidon interjected, “I have been before this almighty god. He is powerful with thousands of soldiers and beasts that dwarf your Cyclopes and Hecatoncheires. His heaven surpasses all our realms. He should defeat Zeus’ army easily, but with our help, he will. You can not hide from him. You must chose a side.”
“You say he will free my children. I have no choice. I will go with you. Who will tend to my children of the sea and forest in this paradise?”
“You and Poseidon go back to earth. Send Hestia and Demeter here. You have ordained us as your daughters of nurture and home. We three goddesses are abundantly robust to care for this paradise until you return.”

Nike admitted Hermes to Zeus’ chamber.
He looked somberly at Zeus, “Father, there is bad news.”
Zeus exasperated, “Will there ever be other news?”
“I saw Gaia in Poseidon’s realm.”
“Hermes, you bring me one disaster after another.”
“I bring you what I see.”
“Gaia has come back to rescue her sons and destroy me. Why is she with Poseidon? He was to bring news from the heavens of Yahweh. Bring me Lucifer and Hades.”
Before Hermes leaves, Hades and Lucifer arrive.
Zeus falls back onto his throne exhausted, “Why is Poseidon not with you? Why is Gaia here?”
Hades confused, “Poseidon stayed in Yahweh’s Heavens. We thought he was captured. We know nothing about Gaia.”
“Do you know Yahweh’s plans? We must prepare our defenses.”
“There is nothing definite planned at this time.”
Zeus worried, “Our world is too large to defend. They are thousands to our one. Our fighters will be too dispersed throughout all the realms. The sea may already be lost. We must concentrate on defending Olympus and the underworld and fortifying the Gates of Olympus from an attack from the Heavens.”
Hades pointed out, “There is another access to our world from the Seven Heavens. The angels came to the Underworld through a blackhole.”
Zeus instructed Lucifer, “It is time for Samyaza and his Watchers to pay for their indulgences. They will help guard the underworld. I will send the Moerae and Cyclopes to help your angels.”
Lucifer added, “Now that I turn on Yahweh, he will call me Satan. Gadreel and the four other of my lesser Satans have deserted Yahweh. Gadreel has directed them to the underworld. They will fight for the freedoms your world offers. My three secret brides, Lilith, Eisheth Zenunim, and Naamah will join us also. No one in the Seven Heavens knows of the sins of lust we committed on Itnerroc. We have all become demons in the eyes of Yahweh.”
“That does not concern me. Send your most observant angels to the black hole. They will warn you before the enemy exits.”
Zeus ordered Hades, “Pull the three Hecatoncheires from Tartarus to help the Horae defend the Gates of Olympus. They will serve better as fighters than guards. Those monsters will instill fear into Yahweh’s attacking army.”
Hades was concerned, “Cerberus guards the underworld, but not Tartarus. The Hecatoncheires are the bars that keep the Titans confined. If the Titans are freed, there will be chaos. Perhaps one of the brothers is capable of securing the prison.”
“Yes, Braireus the Strong shall guard Tartarus. When you return to the Underworld send Kottos and Gyges to me in the Heavens. I will send the Cyclopes to Lucifer.
Zeus instructed Hermes, “Go to the Heavens where you first encountered the angels. You will also warn us before the enemy exits that hole. Now I will go to Olympus to prepare my children for war.”
*        *        *

Safely in the domain of the sea, Gaia was comforted with the thought that her offspring would finally be freed. Poseidon found Ares and divulged the plan to rescue the Titans.
“The enemy will attack Olympus and the Underground at the same time. With thousands of angels causing confusion to our gods, we will sneak Gaia down to Tartarus. She will command Braireus to open the prison gates. We will divert Braireus with our weapons. While we are fighting, Gaia, whom no one can hurt, will free her children. Now we will have the Titans to help us attack the defenders of the underworld from within.”
Ares worried, “Aphrodite is in the palace. She believes in Zeus. The angels may injure or, even worse, banish her from Olympus.”
Poseidon knew the passion Ares had for her, “Quicky, go to her now and meet us in the underworld.”
At the palace garden, Ares found Apollo entertaining some of the Olympians with his lyre. A foreboding calm before the storm. Aphrodite was sitting near her husband, Hephaestus. Unseen by the occupants, Ares signaled to Aphrodite.
She is the most sensuous creature he has ever known. The only god for whom he would risk all. Gods and mortals were at once smitten with a simple glimpse of her. The aroma of her deep beauty mesmerized them. A touch of her hand evoked uncontrollable passion in their souls. Ares was most grateful that she had chosen him as her lover.
Alone, he warned her, “You are in danger. Come with me.”
“Ares, are you in danger? ”
“No, I am planning with Gaia and Poseidon to save what will be left of Olympus. I want you to come with me. I will make you safe.”
“I can not betray my father. If you do this, you will lose me. I will stay here with my brothers and sisters.”
“They will be called to fight soon. Then where will you go?”
“I will fight too. Stay with me. I love you. We will fight together as we did with the Trojans. If you leave now, our love will be lost.”
Ares was conflicted, “If you stay, you will suffer endless pain.”
“I would rather suffer pain in your arms forever than be safe with draconian beasts.”
    Ares was speechless.
Aphrodite smiled seductively, “Come, listen to Apollo’s sweet music with me.”
Zeus entered the palace garden and Apollo went silent.
“Children, you must leave now to defend Olympus. The enemy will be attacking on two fronts. We will be warned by Hermes of the attack from the heavens. I will bring my guards, and Athena, Artemis, and Ares to that front. Heracles shall lead Dionysus, Apollo, Aphrodite to join Hades and Lucifer’s demon angels in the underworld. Hephaestus, go to your forge. You may need to adapt our weapons to these unknown invaders.”
Ares firmly, “Father I shall go where Aphrodite goes.”
“This is no time for romance.”
“This is not puerile romance; this will provoke me to fight until the shaft of my spear is dust and the flame of my torch is ash.”
This overt talk of his wife was too much for Haphaestus. “I will achieve those ends right now.”
Hephaestus limped toward Ares, who struck him with his torch.
Hephaestus laughed,”Your weapon chills me. My forge would melt it.”
“Stop!” Zeus shouts, “Ares, go with Heracles and launch those weapons upon the enemy!”

II
The First Battle

All the troops gathered in two columns in the First Heaven, the closest access to the paths that led to Olympus. Column One was to take the original wormhole directly to the heavens above Olympus. It was led by the Seven Trumpet Angels. Behind them, Michael and his two standard bearers, Jophiel and Zadkiel, led the Celestial Army of thousands of angels with flaming swords. Column Two began with Uriel, the Fire of God and the Angel of Thunder and Terror. With his aides, Shamshiel and Hasdiel, they would lead Camael and his twelve thousand Angels of Destruction to the blackhole and the underworld. Yahweh’s most destructive angels, Af, Hemah, and the Hayyoths were too massive to even navigate the singular holes.
After Hermes alerted Zeus that the invasion had begun, Zeus positioned his small contingent just outside the wormhole. They heard the trumpets blaring thunderously. The sound waves that emanated from the hole shook the heavens and deafened the defenders. Zeus’ plan was already working before he knew it. The exit was small and allowed only a few fighters at once to enter the heavens. His plan was to neutralize them as they exited. But those sounds paralyzed the army within the hole. The trumpet angels stayed back as a dazed Michael and his aids stumbled onto the heavens. The others, behind him, were also disoriented. One by one, as they emerged, Kottos and Gyges attacked them. These three hundred-handed giants with fifty heads devastated Michael and his army. It was impossible to go back into the hole with thousands of angels moving slowly forward and blocking their way. As these battered angels escaped into the darkness, Athena pierced them with her spear, Artemis propelled arrows at them, and Zeus’ launched his thunderbolt that brought them to their knees. Finally, Nike and her siblings, with golden wings, flew above the retreating angels shaming them and proclaiming victory. The confused Celerstial Army, still in the wormhole, turned back to the Seven Heavens.
The second column arrived in the underworld, before the first column entered the Heavens, due to the quicker transit through blackholes. Satan had sent two of his lesser Satans, Asbeel and Yeqon, to the exit hole to await for the invading angels. This time the attack was more covert, therefore Uriel, Shamshiel, Hasdiel, and Camael managed to exit before the two guards could sound the alarm. Satan, his four demon wives, the lesser Satans, twenty Watchers, Zeus’ five children, and the Cyclops managed to engage the additional few hundred angels that had escaped the tunnel. Loud sounds of combat issued from the blackhole. Within the hole, two hundred Grigoi, demon angels, under command of the Twenty Watchers, had blended in with the Angels of Destruction, and pushed their way to the front. This slowed the attackers’ progress long enough for the defenders to overcome those outside the hole. Thousands of angels still in the blackhole, with no leader and not knowing enemy from friend, retreated back to the Seven Heavens. With Ares missing and the battle lost, Gaia and Poseidon did not initiate their role. They expected Zeus to seize the sea so they fled and sheltered in Triton. The outcome of this battle would resemble the outcome in the heavens, with the losers disappearing into the darkness. The Titans stayed in Tartarus. Olympus was saved for now.

III
Regrouping

The victory dance began. Zeus now added the sea to his dynasty. Immortals of the heavens, earth, Olympus, and the underground celebrated. All gathered in the courtyard of Olympus. With Hermes help, Dionysus brought his finest wine to the festivities. Together, angels and gods danced, sang, and drank. A thirst for joy and lovemaking filled the gardens which led off the courtyard. As lustful as the gods of Olympus were, Satan’s brides corrupted them even more. Except for Ares, in drunken splender, the female demons lay siege to the soul of Zeus’ sons, one after the other. The rapture of these evil activities profoundly changed their view of intercourse forever, mutating them into demon gods unfit for even the underworld. Hundreds of Grigori angels descended to earth with a hunger for mortal virgins. Athena and Artemes managed to avoid this depravity.
Elsewhere, Ares and Aphrodite embraced, unaware of the scurrilous events outside of her quarters. Each God of Olympus designed their quarters according to their own tastes. Aphrodite’s was elegant with colors of gold and soft pink, and fragrants of rose and lavender. And in Hades, Samayaza and Atropos submitted to their desire to produce the first child issued from an angel and goddess.
And finally, Lucifer was sure Yahweh’s forces were destroyed and his place in Olympus was secured.
*        *        *

After a long trek back to the Seven Heavens, the angels were weary.
Yahweh was angry with himself, “VRETIL WAS RIGHT. IT WAS CARELESS TO VENTURE THROUGH THOSE HOLES. THEY ARE SPECIAL PATHS NOT DESIGNED FOR ARMIES. WE MUST GET STRONG QUICKLY, FOR THE WORSHIPPERS ON ITNERROC ARE DYING. YAHWEH IS ANCIENT AND MY WISDOM IS FADING. I MUST AWAKEN A REGENERATED YAHWEH FOR OUR NEW FRUITFUL PLANET.”
Metatron viewed the wounded soldiers, “Yes, the star is burning the mortals. We must sacrifice the health and well being of all the angels who are not fighters. The sustenance offered by the suviving mortals must be given to the armies.”
Yahweh can create angels and he can destroy angels. A secret program was designed to eliminate all non-essential angels. Metatron shall visit each Heaven and the prince of that Heaven will select the relevant angels. Metatron would then escort these exalted angels to the Seventh Heaven for Yahweh to destroy them.

IV
The Second
Battle

With wounds healed and strength renewed, the two armies, led by Michael and Camael, started on their second invasion. Amidst the thundering cacophony of Trumpets and cries of vengeful troops, Yahweh began a transmutation that would determine the future of mortals on earth for thousands of years to come. From one emerged three. The Father issued first. He spawned his own Son who would rebirth on the new planet. The remains of Yahweh congealed into the Holy Ghost. All three of this Blessed Trinity were distinct persons with their own free will. For mortals waiting for this incarnation, their mind is manifested in the Father, their flesh in the Son, and their spirit in the Holy Ghost.
As the Pillard Angel roared “time shall be no more”, the legions arrived in the heavens above Olympus. The earth-shattering thunder of the Trumpets shook the foundation of the planet awakening those slumbering in the palace. Olympus was paralyzed. The Horae guards, at the gates, were overwhelmed. The gods were impotent against the thousands of merciless angels rampaging through the courtyard and chambers of Olympus. Camael intended to cut off the head of these infidel gods by overwhelming Zeus and his guards.
In the underworld, the Hecatoncheires were dwarfed by Af and Hemah. The three brothers held their own against those angels of Anger and Wrath. While monsters assaulted monsters, Gaia and Poseidon released the Titans from prison. The Hecatoncheires were finally overcome by the charge of those giant Titans. The four Hayyoths’ unearthly size, and all-consuming fire, permeated the underworld ejecting all resident gods into the darkness. Michael’s army followed, disabling and imprisoning Satan and demon angels into Tartarus.
All in Olympus yielded to Camael as Gaia’s Giants yielded to Zeus. In a last ditch effort, Zeus unleashed his thunderbolt at Camael. The Lord Savior Jesus Christ interceded before Camael and absorbed within his gentle hands the impact of the lightning and the thunder. He continued to draw every particle from the weapon until it was useless. The King of Gods was annihilated and humiliated.
After the shameful defeat in the first battle, the warring angels lost control and plundered Olympus. The gods were cast into the darkness, and the goddesses were herded into the courtyard. After Yahweh’s transformation, the angry angels no longer feared banishment for debauchery, especially since these prisoners were daughters of gods not of men. The Son of the emerging Trinity acquired a tolerant and loving nature. He went to the courtyard to view the goddesses. One goddess radiated a beauty that captivated Christ.
    “Who are you?”
“I am Aphrodite, daughter of Zeus.”
    “Bring me to your quarters.”
They went to the romantic bedchamber where she and Ares had consumated their commitment to each other.
“Your beauty transcends all worlds. I do not understand why I can not take my eyes from you. I will do good things in your name. I must have you as my bride. This is the belief my faith demands.”
This has always been Aphrodite’s burden. Her mere presence heals the wounds of the male heart, fills his soul with courage, and finally, evokes his passion.
“I can not be your wife. Ares waits for me in the darkness.”
“Come to me and I will put an end to your father and lover’s misery.”
Aphrodite is silent. She can’t think clearly. She would rather anguish in the darkness with Ares than be an obliging concubine with this god. However, now she can also help her father. She uses her last card. “Will you save my brothers and sisters?”
“Yes, there is a suitable place that Gaia has created on Earth where your family can sustain with mortals.”
    “Then I will marry you.”
“For now, until the end of time, your name shall be Shekinah, Queen of the Angels and Great Mother of the Universe. You are above all except the Holy Trinity.”

Epilogue

Prometheus and Atlas were freed from their suffering. Metatron, Gaia, and Poseidon escorted the Titans and Zeus’ family to Gaia’s paradise on Triton. Hades, Hephaeestus and all the lesser gods and creatures were cast into the darkness. Gaia begged for a pardon to save the Cyclopes and Hecatoncheires, and Hera begged for Hephaestus but Jesus Christ’s mercy was not without limits. Though in different realms, the passion of Ares and Aphrodite lived on through her unselfish sacrifice. And, in the darkness, Atropos, gestating her angel-god beast, was tortured with thoughts of Samyaza’s burning love.
When the Seven Heavens were relocated above earth, Olympus was moved to the Seventh Heaven. The Trinity found comfort within the golden gates of their heavenly castle of black marble, stone, and bronze. The Hayyoths continued incinerating the underworld with flames so hot they surged into Tartarus to generate a burning hell for Lucifer and the demon angels. The fires of hell became so great they almost ignited the earth. The Father instructed Ben Nez, the angel of the winds, to protect earth by holding back the winds of fire with his pinions.
Thus began a new spiritual culture in the western world called Christianity. The Father cast heavy demands on worshippers by requiring a more rigid procedure in the adoration of the Holy Trinity. Mortals were inspired to construct massive churches and cathedrals in every community. They were obliged to frequently attend services, at these sacred shrines, to praise one of the three Gods. The largest sect required that, before entering, worshippers symbolically cleanse themselves with holy water blesssed by mortal priests ordained by the Father. Before receiving Jesus Christ into their souls, sinful behaviors, some of which before were frivolous play, were to be confessed to those same priests. In return, the Father placed the value of mortals above those of angels and freed the mortals from lascivious proposals by the angels. The greatest gift the Father granted was the title of Saint and immortality to some of the most pious worshippers.
The Hellenistic gods adapted very easily to their new surroundings. Throughout history, when their many battlefields were cleared these gods always tried to forgive and forget. Poseidon reconnected with his Nereids. The Nymphs and Satyrs celebrated with the return of their gods. Some tensions always existed between the Titans and Zeus, Hera and Zeus, Poseidon and Zeus, and Ares and Zeus. However, with no Tartarus to avoid and no throne to ascend to, the tensions did not escalate to animosity.
To this day Gaia still mourns for her many other sons. She retained the power that protected her from harm and the ability to travel throughout her Earth. Because she stayed mostly hidden throughout her life, she wasn’t missed on Triton. When she returned to Triton after many thousands of earth years, she carried a message to all:
While you have enjoyed your freedom in this paradise, I have travelled my Earth seeking our ancient gods. I found Chaos and Nyx, the source of our spirit life, secluded in the tail of the heliosheath. I told them of the fate of their descendants. They told me they had created Earth for me and vowed it was mine until the sun burned no more. Then they gave me seeds of enormous size, odd shapes, and colors beyond the spectrum. I was to scatter them upon each of the four large planets in Earth. When I returned, monsters larger than the earth, the seas, the heavens, and hell, prowled their planets. A mass of frozen particles sprouted into living iceburgs on the cobalt planets of Neptune and Uranus. As they expanded, their temperatures were reduced to the coldest on Earth that could extinguish the fires of hell. On Jupiter and Saturn, thousands of contaminated creatures composed of hydrogen and helium traversed the gaseous surfaces. These yellowish muted entities sometimes moved independently and sometimes as one. They had indiscernible boundaries and together they could encompase and asphyxiate an angel or a god.

Gaia, the all loving mother and grandmother, ended her speech and looked tenderly at smiling children and grandchildren.
