part 3 of the story
Yahweh vs Zeus

James Correnti

Now that Zeus knew the nature of the threat, his next step was to gather the experienced fighters from two wars to meet in the large cloistered courtyard at the entrance to Olympus. “No,” he thought. Then he modified his instructions to Hermes to immediately summon all gods and goddesses to this critical assembly. He suspected that Lucifer may be as powerful as him. He wondered, “How powerful was Yahweh? Was he the primordial creator of angels as Chaos was for gods. What else has Yahweh created?”
*        *        *

Samyaza did not take advantage of the earthborn prey. He was mesmorized by one of the Moerae and, after the meeting, followed Atropos, the eldest and the most morose of the sisters. She was also one of another set of virgin goddesses that included the three Moerae, the three Horae, and the three Furies. Without speaking, Samyaza, the dark angel, and Atropos, the morbid goddess, recognized an aberrant attraction to each other. Atropos led him to her private dwelling deep below Olympus within the underworld. As a guest of Atropos, Cerberus let him pass. This mysterious alien intoxicated Atropos. Unlike a mortal, godlife has no core, no specific erogenous zone. A mortal’s sexual pleasure is experienced when blood and other fluids rush to the genitals and meld with the brain. The two bodies, not knowing where they begin or end, fade into nothingness as the orgasm reaches for ecstasy to become one to make one. That short moment, for mortals, is the whole of godlife copulation. The spirit waves of each god coalesce into one unique wave and the rapture of that oneness is extended to the moment just before the one can not be separated from the other. Like a mortal, they may or may not conceive. Without separation, the two that became one will cease to exist. Only the most powerful gods of the highest level can survive that moment and become two in one. Atropos and Samyaza released and returned to their essence.
They laid next to each other.
Samyaza whispered, “The world I come from knows nothing about the ecstasy of your gods. Perhaps that is why Yahweh forbids fornication. He is afraid of losing the reverence we offer him to our lover. There are only a few female angels in the heavens and they are in Yahwey’s trust. Now I know the truth.”
Atropos hardly hears him, “I was a virgin and I shall always be that to everyone but you.”
“And my soul shall be yours only.”
Atropos remembered, “The gods are meeting in the Courtyard of Olympus. I must go or I will be thought as a traitor.”
“When can we be together again?”
“I do not know Samyaza. Zeus is very worried. He is keeping the truth about your visit a secret. We must save this world or we will never be together again.”
*        *        *

The courtyard was crowded with curiosity, concern, and confusion. Leaving Samyaza and the underworld quckly, Atropos was late as she rushed to Olympus and the courtyard. For this critical meeting, Zeus had posted his four private guards to assist the Horae at the entrance. They thought that it was odd that Atropos had not arrived earlier with her sisters.
Furthermore, Zeus’ brother Hades hadn’t left the underworld since the end of the Titanomachy. Over time he became more loathsome and vile to gods and mortals. He shunned all the domains outside of the underworld. However, this day he responded to Zeus’ urgent message. So did the rest of the gods and goddesses of Olympus and all other domains. Zeus stood high on a platform, waving his thunderbolt in hand. He started,
The end of our time is near. We are in danger of losing our world to an unknown enemy. They will try to push us into the darkest regions of eternity to search for new worshippers. Our elders conquered this world and generations since have fought and built a magnificent home for us. We will not leave our palaces, our temples, our gardens, nor our mortals. Hermes, who crosses all boundries, wandered far from Olympus. Migrant homeless gods who wandered through the dark world informed Hermes of this impending invasion. They told him that Yahweh, the king of the Seven Heavens, is the most powerful and most ruthless of all the gods they have encountered. Do any of you know of this Yahweh?

    The crowd was silent.
Zeus continued,“Return to your domains and prepare for war. Those of you who are not fighters shall help Hephaestus fabricate weapons and prepare defenses.”
As the crowd breaks up, Zeus signals Poseidon and Hades to come to his private quarters. He tells them the truth about Lucifer, Samyaza, and the Watchers. He reveals his scheme that Lucifer shall guide Hades and Poseidon to the edge of the Heavens. They shall wait while Hades dons his own Helm to make him invisible. He will then infiltrate the Seventh Heaven to determine Yahweh’s plan and immediately report to Zeus. The trio secretly began their trip from Hade’s abode.

II
The Seventh Heaven

Except for the highest orders of angels, Archangel Cassiel, Ruling Prince of the Seventh Heaven, must grant permission for all who wish to enter the Seventh Heaven where the Throne of Yahweh resides. After permission is granted, the visitor must then approach Metatron, the lesser YHWH, before approaching the Throne. It is not clear as to why God Almighty must require so much security. He had no apparent enemies in the Heavens at this time and mortals on planet Itnerrroc posed no threat.
In addition to holding the title of Ruling Prince of the Seventh Heaven, Cassiel’s second most important job was to watch over mankind. He was the one that first informed Yahweh of the impending disaster on Itnerroc and the end of their sustenance. Near this bearded angel always rests his cherished dragon who carried him throughout the Heavens.
Yahweh was becoming impatient waiting for Lucifer and Samyaza to report back on the status of the new planet. He summoned his two wisest angels, Vretil, knower of the most high, and Pistis Sophia, Princess of the Aeons, the first beings created by Yahweh. Archangels Michael and Gabriel, and Bat Qol, prophetess of warnings, also attended.
Yahweh begins, “LUCIFER HAS NOT RETURNED. HE, THE ONE WHO TRULY LOVES ME, MAY BE IN DANGER. DID HE GO ON A PERILOUS JOURNEY?”
Cassiel answers, “Lord God, we must send the Celestial Army to find Lucifer and the Watchers.”
Michael, heavy with armor, resting hand on sword interrupts, “No! As Prince of that Army, I can not risk the heavenly host to fall into the same trap as Lucifer.”
“We must not rush into the unknown.” Gabriel agreed, “It would be wise to send a very small contingent, one or two secret angels, to locate Lucifer and his party.”
Metatron favored that approach, “My close friend Archangel Jophiel is already a spy for you, Lord God. Send him and one other to Lucifer.”
“Perhaps Morael should accompany Jophiel.” Raphael suggests, “He makes all in the visible world invisible.”
    Gabriel thinking outloud,
We do not know the nature of that world. Will his power serve in unknown realms? No, we must send a few soldiers experienced secret undertakings to protect Jophiel. While Michael is our greatest soldier, we need him here to lead his Celestrial Army to war. Two other courageous fighters come to my mind. Gadreel is my Lord God’s angel of wars. He will protect Jophiel on this dangerous mission. Archangel Camael is the other. However, he should remain here with his Twelve Thousand Angels of Destruction. Once we know our enemy, we can be sure that Camael and Michael will forge a new home for our Heavens.

    Yahweh looks to Bat Qol.
She responds, “I do not know how to conduct plans for war. There is another presence in this assembly. I think a foreign essence is absorbing all we say.”
“No entity can enter this Heaven without encountering Cassiel or me. Are you sensing a demon angel?” Metatron asked.
“No, this perception is not of an angel and not of this world.”
“IF IT IS NOT OF OUR WORLD AND IF YOU CAN NOT TELL US MORE, WE MUST DO WHAT GABRIEL SUGGESTS. METATRON, FIND JOPHIEL AND GADREEL AND SEND THEM ON THIS DANGEROUS MISSION.”

III
Spies and Counterspies

Hades and Lucifer formed a strange comfortable kinship as Lucifer escorted Hades and Poseidon to the passage he took to find Olympus. They arrived outside the heavens and settled into the Fifth Heaven. Lucifer looked for Gadreel, the ruler of this lower world that Yahweh had created but never visits. This solemn place was designed to hold captive any malevolent creations that might infiltrate the other transcendent heavens. Yahweh viewed Lucifer and Gadreel as two angels uncorrupted by evil, so were given unrestricted access to this forgotten void. Lucifer was safe here to continue the mission without interference. He gave Hades directions to the Seventh Heaven to learn about the plan to invade Olympus. Hades doned the helmet and arrived at Yahweh’s realm invisible but detected. The contamination of the underworld followed him to the heavens. A mystic detected his scent. He pulled down tightly on his helm and froze. Fear becomes more important than his mission. He quietly and quickly slipped away. Hades reported to Lucifer that Yahweh is worried and some unknown angels are going to search for Lucifer and party. Hades thinks that no more actions are planned at this time, however some angels are standing by with their armies. Lucifer and Hades immediately head back to Olympus to try and locate those inquiring angels.
*        *        *
Since Lucifer hadn’t revealed the exact location of the wormhole to Olympus to anyone, Jophiel and Gadreel searched and found a blackhole in their galaxy with a more direct connection to their target world. Because black holes offer a quicker space/time route than wormholes, they arrived just a little sooner than Lucifer and company. However, instead of landing atop of the heavens, they found themselves below the earth in the underworld. Cerberus halted the angels. Just then Jophiel observed Samyaza leaving. He called to him, “Samyaza where are we? Have you gathered the information Yahweh requested?”
The newcomers surprised Samyaza. He didn’t know what to reveal. “Why are you here?” he asked.
At the sound of Samyaza’s voice, Cerberus backed off.
Jophiel continued, “Gadreel and I came to protect you and bring you back to the Heavens. Where are Lucifer and the Watchers? There are no suspicions here of your intentions?”
“No, they think we are friendly travelers. We have learned that they have very strong fortifications. It would be difficult for our armies to assault them. Lucifer intends on reporting this.”
“Where are all the angels in this heaven?”
“There are no angels here. They are all gods.”
Samyaza continues to lie, “There are many gods in this world stronger than God Almighty’s choir of thousands. That is why Lucifer will tell Metatron to look for mortals in another world.”
Samyaza at a loss for words, “The gods are meeting now. Perhaps you will travel back to heaven and inform the others.”
Jophiel contined his interrogation, “Where is Lucifer?”
At that moment, Hades arrived home to the Underworld with only Lucifer. The five immortals gave each other puzzled looks.
Gadreel had not been questioning Samyaza at all. Jophiel stared at the three angels who seem very comfortable with with this hideous god of the underworld. Those angels always had a predisposition to individuality which, in the heavens, could lead to dire consequences. There seemed to be a peculiar comfort between the four in this basement of Hades. Jophiel sensed that connection but not in a good way.
He is Metatron’s closest friend. In addition, when Archangel Michael enters battle with his Celestial Army, Jophiel is one of two standard bearers who follow directly behind him. He would never betray these two god-like angels.
Now he must get back to report these aberrations. Jophiel slowly inched toward the underground exit, pulled his flaming sword and rushed through the portal to the Seven Heavens. The others, caught off guard, could not deter him.

Poseidon, from his distant vantage point, became curious with what little he could see. Just before his comrades began their return to the underworld, he disappeared into Yahweh’s world. His first interest was to visit the ocean and its caretaker. He traversed the sky down toward Itnerroc. The waters on this planet covered most of the globe with tiny islands speckled throughout the massive ocean. A sign of a warming planet. Poseidon spotted an angel, in red with long golden hair, skimming on the surface. The look was feminine but the gross motor skills revealed a male angel. Poseidon removed his unique helmet as he advanced toward this interesting creature. While both hovered above the waters, Poseidon asked, “Who are you?”
“I’m Arariel. I do not recognize you.”
“I am Poseidon, god of the sea. I am visiting your world.”
“Are you Yahweh’s new angel creation to help me?”
“No, I am from another place of mortals and immortals.”
“Yahweh is looking for new worshippers on another world. My fishermen pray to me for more bounty but the quickly changing seasons kill off their catch. Even I can not help them.”
As Poseidon gazed off in a distance, he saw an enormous angel with one foot on a small island and the other in the sea. He was so mammoth that he was ensconced in the clouds while supporting the heavens with one hand.
“That is our Pillard Angel,” Ararial explained. “When he roars like a lion, the seven thunders sound and ‘time shall be no more’ is heard by the angelic choirs. That is a warning that our time on Itnerroc is ending. Can you help?”
    “Maybe.”
“I shall take you to Archangel Cassiel. Perhaps he will bring you to Yahweh.”
As the two passed through the sky of Itnerroc and the nebula of the heavens, Poseidon was amazed at the next angel he encountered. Holding up the Seventh Heaven with just three fingertips was Atraphiel. He was almost as large as the Pillard Angel.
“Are those angels being punished by your Yahweh?”
“No, for they have heard the word of god. It is an honor to render to them the sacred service to bear the heavens.”
The Seventh Heaven is the holiest of all heavens. The highest orders of angels live there. It is infinitely more beautiful than mortals could ever imagine. There are no gates of pearls, palaces of emeralds, or streets paved with gold. It is perfect spiritual beauty void of sensuality. It answers that unfulfilled yearning of completeness all souls desire. The other six heavens, like Olympus, emulate a vision of the divine that merges elements of corporeal and spirit worlds. The Seventh Heaven is a more evolved existence than most other realms in dark matter.
Arariel brought Poseidon to the gate of the Seventh Heaven. It was attended by Cassiel and Metatron. He told them that the visitor is from another world and may help us to find a new home.
“What star are you from?” questions Cassiel.
“The sun. I live in Olympus. Our worshippers live on the planet earth.”
“We will take you to the throne. There you will confess to Yahweh.”
As Poseidon followed Cassiel and Metraron, he was overwhelmed by the visions of Af, the angel of anger, and his brother Hemah, the angel of wrath. These residents of the Seventh Heaven were over eighteen hundred miles tall, and forged out of chains of black and red fire. These super angels dwarfed any creature of Olympus. Throughout this heaven, Poseidon entered more than another world – another spiritual dimension. The senses gods shared with mortals were missing. Touch, sound, vision blended into one perception greater than the sum of its parts. This was as close to the universal truth that Poseidon ever encountered.
As they approarched the throne, more bizarre angelical figures emerged. The four Hayyoth Angels, supporting the throne, were divine beasts each with four faces of a human, lion, bull, and eagle. And each had four wings, the feet of a calf, and human hands. They were so large as to fill the whole world. Their fiery breadth would have incinerated the attending angels around the throne had it not been for Archangel Remiel spreading his wings over the Hayyoth.
Yahweh, Cassiel, Metatron, and the Seven Archangels presided over this inquiry.
Cassiel began, “Arariel said that you can help us. You are from another world of mortals and immortals. Why did you come here?”
“I came here with Lucifer and my brother Hades to find out your plan of attack on Olympus. When Zeus, our ruler, informed Lucifer and Samyaza that the Watchers may lust for the daughters of men on our planet, they decided to stay and fight with us.”
Cassiel and Metatron looked at Yahweh. Anger, unbeknownst in the heavens, burned through this omnipotent being. All angels in his presence looked down in absolute reverence. This was the greatest sin against their Almighty God.
Poseidon continued, “I am the equal of my brother Zeus. He became our ruler by winning a simple gamble. Zeus is unfair and has made many enemies in our world. They have been waiting for an opportunity to end his oppression.”
“Who are these enemies of Zeus?” asked Metatron.
“Gaia, the mother of all gods. He imprisons her sons. He deceives his wife Hera, and despises their son, Ares. He forces Atlas to hold up the heavens, not as a gift as Yahweh gives the Pillard Angel, but as a cruel punishment. And he tortures Prometheus day and night. There are other gods and mortals who wish to see him dethroned. But he has loyal security guards and many other gods who have fought beside him in two wars.”
Metatron curious, “Will his enemies help us?”
“Yes, anything to defeat Zeus. They will come and do your bidding.”
    “No, No, one moment.”
Metatron formed a discussion cicle with Yahweh and his archangel comrades.
In a short time, he comes back to Poseidon, “You will give Metatron detailed information of all the realms in your world and reveal the most vunerable barriors we can assault. Then go back to Olympus and wait for further orders. Discuss this war with Gaia, Hera, and Ares. We will tell you how to instruct all of Zeus’ enemies to undermine his forces from within.
*        *        *

Jophiel returned to the Gate of the Seventh Heaven and anxiously looked for Metatron. Cassiel greeted him and together they mounted his dragon and spirited away. Meanwhile Metatron was with Yahweh reassuring him that this crisis would be resolved. Itnerrroc was the only planet Yahweh had consecrated. From the moment of his beginning, billions of years ago, Yahweh patiently built a massive world by creating thousands of spiritual beings with a diversity of knowledge and skills. To sustain this community, he enlarged the population of Itnerroc and, grew and harvested millions of mortal souls to nourish those thousands of angels and saints.
Now his world was ending. Not just the physical destruction of Itnerroc but the betrayal by his beloved Lucifer and the demon angels.
Yahweh vowed, “All the fallen angels will will be cursed into everlasting hell fire.”
Cassiel brought Jophiel to the throne. Metatron, Cassiel, and Yahweh knew what he was about to say.
Jophiel couldn’t hold his words any longer, “We sent traitors to the new world! Lucifer and Samyaza are conspiring against you, Lord.”
    “DID THEY HARM GADREEL?”
“No, he was tempted by the others and became evil. The depravity began to envelop me. With sword in hand, I escaped.”
“YOU HAVE PROVEN TODAY THAT YOU ARE THE BEAUTY OF GOD. I WILL TELL MICHAEL TO BE HONORED WHEN YOU CARRY HIS BANNER INTO BATTLE.”

IV
Back to Earth

Upon returning home, Poseidon found himself atop the heaven where the first angels had landed and met Hermes. He descended to his own dominion of the sea. Knowing how absurdly fearful Zeus was of Gaia, Poseidon avoided directly contacting her. In any case, he wasn’t sure where she had disappeared after the Giant’s defeat. It was time to tell Hera of the impending disaster and, perhaps, she might know of Gaia’s whereabouts.
The Goddesses admired each other and championed women, marriage, and birth. Hera appeared to her worshipers in many temples located throughout Western Greece and Peloponnese. But Poseidon knew that she spent most of her leisure time in the Garden of Hesperides. As a wedding gift to Zeus and Hera, Gaia had planted trees with branches of golden apples in Hera’s orchard, within this garden. When Zeus no longer frequented the garden, it became Hera’s escape. Located in the Atlas Mountain Range in Northwest Africa, this was as far as she could get from her promiscuous husband. She rested here amongst the Hesperides, the beautiful nymphs with wonderful sweet voices.
Between the symbiotic sessions with her worshippers and her vacation home, Hera rarely visited Olympus. Poseidon found his sister in her mountain retreat. He had a bad temper and demanded respect, but not here. Both he and Hera had deep grudges against their brother so they welcomed the alliance. The warm mediterrannean breeze gently swept the sweet soft voices of the Hesperides throughout the mountain garden. Poseidon finally relaxed. The shattering news he had gathered and carried would soon be unburdened.
He gave a rare smile and looked at the Hesperides, “I forgot how intoxicating your garden was.”
Hera was Queen of the Gods and Olympus, and a match for any god. She never forgot an injury and made life miserable for those who crossed her, including her husband.
“No, you will not defile my vestals,” Hera snapped back.
“Oh, I am sorry. I did not think that. I am so troubled with bad news that I wished to be drowned in your serene oasis. I am the least of your worries.”
“It is good to see my brother. What is this bad news?”
She invited him to sit at her oaken table and nodded to Nymph Erytheis.
A chalice of golden apple nectar was placed near him.
Poseidon sipped the rare juice, “The impossible day is near. A powerful force from a strange world is coming to violently seize our worshippers.”
    “How do you know that?”
“I learned this first from defectors of this place and later from their leader. This may be the only chance we have to get out from under Zeus’ control and to save ourselves. They have powers I do not understand.”
“You are afraid of them. How do you know to trust them after you turn against Zeus?
“We have no choice. Hades and I are the only Olympians to observe these creatures. Hades fled. I stayed and spoke to their leader Yahweh. If we support Zeus, we will be cast away in an perpetual search for another home by these invaders. Without worshippers, our suffering would be unbearable. They will do to us what our elders did to those ignorant gods that were banished from earth many ages ago. If we support Yahweh, we may keep our worshippers and be no worse off than under Zeus.
