be judged by God Almighty I’m told at
Sunday School and I’m ten years old so I
may as well believe, at least on God’s turf,
it kills a few hours Sunday mornings and
I see buddies who don’t come to my school,
my regular school that is, as compared
to Sunday School, where the only test comes
when you’re dead and God is judging you as
fitter for Heaven, to hang there that is,
or Hell and my Sunday School teacher swears
that one day when I’m dead I’ll be sorry
for my sins but I tell her Oh, no ma’am
—I’m sorry for ‘em now, then she smiles, which
is all she wants anyway and keeps it.
