Sometimes in dreams I die and never wake

until I wake for real in my bed and
look around even if it’s dark and see
where I really am, or that part of where
I really am, and as for the After
-life, I mean where I am when I’m dead in
a dream I never can remember but
it seems dark and quiet and eternal
so I wonder what the real thing will be
like when I die for sure though at church and
Sunday School it’s either Heaven or Hell
but maybe I’ve found a third place, other
than Earth that is, or maybe even I’m
dead already so life here is Heaven
or Hell. If some of both, I’m right at home.
