MW Murphy

I am so much more
than the parameters of my flesh
and so much less.
Quantitative I
reduce to my DNA
multiplied ad infinitum
via all my ancestors
arcing back to the first
dusted documented bones
found in Sahara Africa
and South East Asia.
The I of my consciousness
but a fragment
of the universal “omm”.
Still I struggle each morning
out of dreams
transporting me to all
back into my personal self
the I - finite
recognizable to me in the mirror
and friends on the street
give salutations to
