This year, when I turned
eight. we moved
to Missouri,
The Show-Me State.
They had a library at school.
But I couldn’t take out any books,
because they were nasty.
They were sexual.
They said they were banned.
And I couldn’t play with my
non-cisgender friends,
Like Gay.
I didn’t know if it was
because she was gay or it was
because she was Gay.
Things are confusing in this
state, but my parents tell
me it’s just like Texas,
the Lonestar State,
where we moved from.
I guess they’re right.
Dad says cheer up, next
summer we’re moving
to Florida.
The Sunshine State.
