Nobody lives forever except when

they’re dead explains my Sunday School teacher
and I guess I agree, she’s lots older,
25 to my 10 and she means that
to live eternally then first I must
die and then I go to Heaven or Hell
although we all get to go to Heaven
at least to be judged but not many
get the invite to stay, most of us will
go to Hell and burn forever and I
used to think it was to get our souls all
purified but she says No, Gale—strictly
punishment is what it is and smiles once
more and it’s a killer smile, too, she’ll smile
like that on our honeymoon. There’s a plan.
