GOTH GIRL AT THE ORTHODONTIST BLUES

Curtis Ray

She’s 15, and although she’s pierced, she whines about the pain
With her sarcastic schoolgirl skirt crawlin’ up her thighs
Hair of a nocturnal hue, eyes of an Egyptian Queen
She doesn’t like this stupid scene, and thinks the Doctor’s lame

CHORUS
Goth Girl at the Orthodontist Blues
It’s easy to laugh at her, but think of me and you
Back in school, tryin’ to be cool, we were much the same
She’s just another player in an ongoing game

Long hair used to freak ‘em out, now the ones who had it then
Sneer at those with soaring spikes of pink and green and blue
I heard one say she’d kill her kid if he committed that sin
“It’s different!” she snarled at me. It all goes ‘round again...

Everyone looks for their style; what gags me may pleasure you
We’re all like that little Goth Girl squirmin’ in her chair
Get a cowboy hat or be a whigger; we all know there’s something bigger
And what’s inside you counts the most, not what you choose to wear

REPEAT CHORUS&END
