LITTLE ROSE OF CHRISTMAS

C Ra McGuirt

For Roisin, Christmas 2007
Little Rose, we’re all so proud of what you have achieved.
It’s my desire that you allow me on this Christmas Eve
To sing this small song praising you, and all we have received,
By being close to your sweet glow, and we hope that you

Believe that we believe in you, no matter what the name
We choose to use, be it Roisin, Little Rose, or Rue.
I know you weren’t expecting to be singled out this way
Your lack of vanity is part of why I write today

This little song for Little Rose, to tell her she is loved
And held in highest of esteem, both here and far Above.
So keep on becoming the great woman that we know.
As we gather round the Tree, outside is cold and snow

But it’s warmer with you present, and we’ll be here for you
No matter where you wander, what you believe or do.
Oh, Little Rose of Christmas, we’re grateful you are here
To bless us all this Holy Night, and all throughout the year.
